If you've known me long, you know that I could always sing. Growing up in Butte, Montana with a jazz musician for a father and a singer for a mother. Jazz is what we heard in our house growing up. Of course, I rebelled against that and sang rock-n-roll and even country in my teens and 20's. It took moving to the east coast to New Hampshire and discovering and listening to the Ella Fitzgerald songbook albums in a wonderful cottage overlooking Squam Lake to bring me back to jazz. |
