I can't remember a time I wasn't writing songs. The earliest example here is The World of a Dream, written when I was fifteen years old, and the latest, over eight hundred songs later, is I'm Not Supposed to Fall in Love, from my score of Our Mutual Friend, based on Charles Dickens' last novel.
   Included in the this first volume are songs from my musical Love So Dear (L.S.D.), about Albert Hofmann, the CIA and America in the Sixties, along with songs from my other musicals Delicious Child, Shidach, The Definition of Love, and The Caterpillar Song.
   We thought you shouldn't wait any longer to hear these songs. I sincerely hope they sing for you.
