A soprano with a haunting voice and a haughty manner, she presents an array of Kurt Weill songs. The multi-talented Joy Bogen has performed opera to cabaret. The legendary singer Lotte Lenya was so impressed with Ms. Bogen that she personally coached her interpretations of Weill’s music. They established a lasting friendship that gave Ms. Bogen an unprecedented access to much of the composer’s unpublished music.                                 
   She has performed the music of Kurt Weill at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, Spoleto Festival – both in Italy and Charleston, Helsinki Festival, Teatre Saõ Carlos and the Kennedy Center.
